Mussoorie bus accident: 2 killed, 22 injured, CM Dhami expressed grief

Mussoorie/Dehradun (IANS)| Uttarakhand Roadways bus fell into a ditch in Mussoorie. Two people died in this accident, while 22 people were injured. The condition of three people remains critical. 19 injured have been sent to Dehradun. Three injured are admitted in Max Hospital, rest in Doon Hospital. There were 34 people in the bus. The team of Mussoorie police, which reached the information of the accident, carried out the rescue with the help of the local people. All the injured have been rescued. On the other hand, on the bus accident on the Mussoorie Dehradun road, CM Dhami has expressed condolences to those who lost their lives in the accident. CM Pushkar Dhami has expressed grief after the Mussoorie bus accident. He wrote in a tweet, “The news of the bus falling into the ditch on the Dehradun-Mussoorie highway is very sad. I pray to God to give place to the departed souls in his holy feet and provide speedy recovery to the injured. Instructions have been given to get better treatment.

Along with this, Cabinet Minister Ganesh Joshi also reached Doon Hospital and Max Hospital to inquire about the condition of the injured.

On the other hand, as soon as the information about the incident was received, District Magistrate Dehradun Sonika Singh and SSP Dehradun Dilip Singh Kunwar reached the spot and got involved in the investigation of the incident.

SSP Dehradun Dilip Singh Kunwar said that prima facie the negligence of the driver is visible. Whereas this incident has happened due to rash driving. He said that the quality of the roadside tires is also very bad. Questions are being raised on this also. He told that there were a total of 34 people including the driver and conductor in the bus, out of which 19 people have been sent to Dehradun referer Dehradun. Two people have died. The condition of three remains critical. He said that people also need to be made aware about traffic rules.

Dehradun District Magistrate Sonika Singh said that the accident is very painful. A magisterial inquiry will be conducted into the accident. He said that the people in question in the incident have been sent to Higher Center in Dehradun and Mussoorie Upazila Hospital for treatment. As soon as the information about the incident was received, the team of all the concerned departments immediately reached the spot and started the rescue operation.
