Murder of wife by hitting her head with stone, accused husband arrested

Ranchi: In Pakaria village under Sadar police station area of Chatra district of Jharkhand, a man killed his wife by hitting her on the head with a stone. Later he reached Sadar Hospital with his wife and tried to fabricate a story. Police have arrested the accused Raju Bhuiyan. The accused is a resident of Pakaria village. On Saturday morning, he took his blood-soaked wife Kosila Devi to Sadar Hospital, where doctors declared her dead. When the police reached the spot and interrogated Raju Bhuiyan, he confessed to his crime. He had committed the crime in an intoxicated state. It is being told that Raju Bhuiyan was already married and he had married Kosila Devi for the second time by luring her. Later, when this matter came to light, there were frequent fights between the two. According to the villagers, Raju often used to beat his wife while drunk. However, post-mortem of the deceased’s body is being done.
