Murder incidents have increased, Chief Minister should maintain law and order: Ambumani

Tamil Nadu : PMK leader Anbumani Ramadoss has demanded the Chief Minister to maintain law and order after 8 murders took place in a single day in Tamil Nadu.

In a statement issued in this regard on Tuesday, it was said that in Tamil Nadu, youths named Brigatheeswaran and Kasturi were killed in a clash over drinking alcohol in Kovilpatti in Thoothukudi district. A person named Vijay was killed in a quarrel over buying liquor at a liquor shop in Nadukkaveri in Thanjavur district.

Similarly, a total of 8 people were killed in a single day: Swayambukanni in Ambalacheri in Thoothukudi district, Uma near Pavurchatram in Tenkasi district, Rajasekharan near Ezhaayiram Panna in Virudhunagar district, Ashwini in Vadugapalayam in Pollachi in Coimbatore district and an unidentified person was killed in Chinna Kanganguppam in Cuddalore district.

The number of murders in Tamil Nadu is increasing day by day. It has become common for many innocent people to be killed, even those who have not committed any crime. This has created a situation where people cannot move around in any part of the state without fear. Drugs including alcohol and marijuana are the reason behind most of the crimes including murders. Therefore, Anbumani said that the Chief Minister and the police under him should take steps to maintain law and order and ensure the safety of the people.
