Mumbai: Petrol and diesel prices rise again, second increase in a week

Maharashtra: Fuel prices in Mumbai have been hiked yet again. On Tuesday, oil marketing companies revised petrol and diesel prices, marking the second such increase in the past week. This increase comes amid a surge in international crude oil prices, attributed primarily to ongoing tensions in West Asia and the Iran-related dispute.
Following the latest revision, petrol prices in Mumbai have risen by 91 paise to ₹107.59 per liter. Diesel prices have risen by 94 paise to ₹94.08 per liter. Earlier on Friday, fuel prices were also hiked by approximately ₹3 per liter, adding to the already high costs for consumers.
These continuous hikes have increased the cost of transportation and daily commutes in Mumbai. This situation has become even more challenging for ordinary consumers, as frequent changes in fuel prices are directly impacting household budgets and transportation costs.
Fluctuations in international crude oil prices are also impacting the Indian market, leading to frequent revisions in fuel rates. This increase is believed to be a result of these global conditions.
