Mumbai: After stealing data from advertising firm, hackers demanded ransom of ₹4.12 lakh in bitcoins

Maharashtra : Cyber ​​hackers broke into the servers of advertising company Alchemist Marketing Talent Solutions Pvt Ltd, stole crucial data and demanded a ransom of Rs 4.12 lakh in bitcoins. The incident came to light when the company’s employees and officials were unable to log in to their internal systems. While trying to reset the password, they found that all the data on the server had vanished.

The hackers described themselves as “professionals” and claimed that upon payment, not only would the data be restored, but the company would also receive technical advice to prevent future cyber attacks. The company was instructed to send proof of payment to a specified email address.
