Mumbai: After an argument, the society chairman chopped off the thumb of a member

Mumbai. A shocking incident took place at a society meeting in Mumbai’s western suburb, resulting in a society member losing his left thumb. The society chairman is accused of injuring the thumb of another member during a dispute. The incident has shocked the local community and has become a topic of widespread discussion in the area. The MHB police are currently investigating the case. The victim has been identified as Aditya Desai. According to sources, the incident took place at Amarnath Apartments in Mhatre Wadi, Dahisar West. On Sunday morning, the society held a meeting in the presence of several members. Nityanand Parihar is the chairman of the society. During the meeting, chairman Parihar and member Aditya Desai got into an argument over a particular issue. The dispute escalated so much that Parihar allegedly injured Desai by cutting off his left thumb. Desai alleged that chairman Parihar intentionally cut his thumb, saying, “Our society meeting was held at Amarnath Apartments at 11 am on Sunday. Some issues were to be discussed. I went to the meeting and gave an application to chairman Parihar. He started talking to me harshly and I also replied harshly. After this he pushed me, due to which I fell on the floor. He sat on my chest and broke my glasses. In an attempt to protect myself, my thumb went into his mouth and he bit it completely. It is extremely painful.” The detailed information of what happened during the meeting is not yet clear. The reason for the dispute between Aditya Desai and Nityanand Parihar and whether Parihar actually cut Desai’s thumb is still under investigation. The MHB police is investigating the incident.
