‘One Time Settlement Scheme’ is useful for resolving tax disputes in the Municipal Corporation: MP Brijmohan Agarwal

In the capital Raipur, both the citizens and the corporation are facing problems regarding the Municipal Corporation tax. In the current system, while the public has to visit the offices again and again, the corporation also does not get the full revenue on time, which hinders development work. In view of this situation, MP and senior BJP leader Brijmohan Agarwal has directed the Corporation Commissioner to prepare a ‘One Time Settlement Scheme’. He said that with such a scheme, citizens will be able to get rid of tax disputes by depositing a lump sum amount and the corporation will also get immediate revenue, which will increase the pace of development work.

MP Agarwal clarified that the scheme should be transparent, simple and public welfare, so that more and more people can take advantage of it and the financial condition of the corporation is strengthened. MP Brijmohan Agarwal said, “The city will become strong only when the wards are strong. It is the responsibility of all of us to provide a clean, safe and convenient environment to the citizens of Raipur. Our aim is to include the capital among the ideal cities of the country in the coming time.
