Mother used to support her conman son Shiva Sahu, now arrested

Police have taken another major action in the case of Shiva Sahu, a notorious conman who defrauded people of their hard-earned money by promising to double it and then indulged in debauchery. Police have detained Shiva Sahu’s mother and one of his associates, Dharmesh Sahu. Shiva’s mother is accused of helping her son hide the money he defrauded. Furthermore, she also handled the money transactions. After taking her into custody, the police presented her in court and sent her to jail. Thus far, the police have arrested 13 people in this notorious case.

There was a time when this name suddenly became a headline in Chhattisgarh. Shiva Sahu’s charisma was such that crowds of people followed him. The most surprising thing was that Shiva achieved such fame in just one year. Shiva hails from Raikona in the Bilaigarh-Sarangarh district of Chhattisgarh. His father worked as a carpenter. Shiva used to work with his father. Then suddenly, wealth began to pour upon him. Until his arrest, Shiva drove around in luxury cars like Mercedes and BMWs. He even owned a JCB and a tractor trolley. Seeing his flamboyance, people began to consider him a role model. His misdeeds came to light when a police complaint was filed against him.

In fact, some people had filed a complaint against Shiva Sahu at the Sarsinwa police station in Chhattisgarh, alleging that he had defrauded them under the guise of doubling their money. The complainants claimed that Shiva had promised 30% interest and that the money would double in eight months. He had defrauded four people of more than ₹2 crore (approximately $20 million). However, only last year, after a long escape, he and his accomplices were arrested. Currently, a total of 13 people, including Shiva, have been arrested for their involvement in the fraud.
