Mother is our first and greatest teacher: Dr Achyuta Smanta during Guru Divas observation at KIIT and KISS

Bhubaneswar: On the occasion of the birthday of former President, scholar, philosopher Sarbapalli Radhakrishnan, Guru Divas or Teacher’s Day is being celebrated all over India.

Dr Achyuta Samanta, founder of KIIT and KISS, graced the Guru Divas program organized at KIIS premises today and spoke about the significance of Guru Divas.

Dr Samanta said that everyone meets different gurus at different stages in their lifetime. But the one Guru who is with us from birth is the mother. For everyone, their mother is the ultimate guru. She never expects any reward or respect in return for the education she gives.

Therefore, along with teachers everyone should also always respect their mother who is the first teacher of life.

Giving his own example, Dr Samanta said, ‘My mother used to tell me all the time – Thili kana, heli kana o hebi kana” so that I never forget this. Those lessons of my mother have helped me to become a successful person today.

Senior staff of KISS, teachers, students, lecturers, faculty and students were present on this occasion.
