Mother commits suicide by poisoning her son

A mother who was supposed to pave the way for her growing son’s bright future sent him to an unknown world by giving him poison. She herself gave poison to her son who had been carrying her for nine months and ended his life. After her son’s death, the mother, who thought she could not live in this world, also committed suicide and committed suicide. Unable to bear the untimely death of her daughter, her mother attempted suicide. This heartbreaking incident took place in Hastinapuram under Meerpet police station limits.
According to Meerpet CI Shankar Nayak, Yashwanth Reddy and his wife Sushmita (27) have a son, Yashwanth Nanda Reddy (11 months old), in Jayakrishna Enclave Colony under Hastinapuram division. On Thursday, when no one was home, Sushmita poisoned her son and then hanged herself from a fan. Seeing her daughter dead, her mother Lalita (50) tried to commit suicide by consuming unknown drugs. Relatives who noticed her are admitting her to the hospital and are providing treatment. The CI said that the victim’s relatives have complained that Sushmita and her son died due to Yashwanth Reddy’s harassment. A case has been registered and an investigation is underway.
