More than 176 quintals of paddy seized, surveillance increased in the district borders

Dhamtari. On the instructions of Collector Namrata Gandhi, illegal paddy transportation is being continuously monitored. In this series, last night, the Revenue and Food staff seized 58 bags (25.52 quintals) of paddy illegally transported from Surtidas Manikpuri, Devbharan, Orissa in village Ghutkel under the Inter State Border Check Center Borai and handed it over to the police station Borai. Similarly, this morning, when 378 bags (151.20 quintals) of paddy were found being transported in the city without valid documents, action was taken as per rules by the Tehsildar City and the Food Inspector. In this way, a total of 436 sacks (176.72 quintals) of paddy were seized by the investigation team.
