Money for Tamil Nadu not refunded: Southern Railway again seeks clarification
Tamil Nadu : Southern Railway has said that the funds allocated for Tamil Nadu by the Indian Railways have not been returned.
If the funds allocated for railway projects cannot be used in that particular quarter, the funds will be returned and will be received in the next quarter. This is the usual practice in railways. However, some people who are misunderstanding it are spreading false news in the media that the funds allocated to Tamil Nadu have been returned to Southern Railway and the Ministry of Railways. We would like to clarify that all these reports are untrue.
The Railway Ministry has also clarified that there has been no change in the funds allocated for ongoing projects in Tamil Nadu and Kerala under Southern Railway in the current financial year. The notification also said that the Ministry of Railways has ordered that all ongoing projects continue as planned.
