Mohali: Youth arrested on rape charges

Mohali: Police have arrested a youth from Shamli (UP) for raping his niece in Zirakpur. Police said that the youth, who works in a laboratory, allegedly had physical relations with the daughter of his mother’s sister. The accused brought the victim from her home in Ludhiana to the Chattbir Zoo in Zirakpur in December 2020, where he raped her. A case has been registered against the accused on the complaint of the victim’s husband.
