Mohali: Three car thieves in the clutches of police

Mohali: Police have arrested three members of a car theft gang involved in several incidents. The suspects have been identified as Paminder Singh, a resident of Kapurthala, Lucky alias Kala, a resident of Ferozepur city and Eklavya. They were arrested from IT City. On May 12, three youths snatched a taxi from a driver early in the morning on Aerocity-Zirakpur Road in Mohali.

Mohali taxi driver Lovepreet Singh had parked his vehicle on the roadside when three youths asked him to drop them in Kharar. When the driver refused, one of them snatched the car keys from him and the other pointed a gun at him. They hit him with the butt of the gun and looted his car. Police said that the victim saved his life by fleeing from the spot. A case has been registered at the IT City police station.
