Mohali: Even after a month, taps in Dera Bassi village remained dry

Mohali: The taps in Mor Thikri village and four housing societies in Dera Bassi have been dry for more than a month. Local residents of the Mubarikpur-Ramgarh Road area are facing a shortage of drinking water and there is no solution to it yet.
Water tankers are providing relief to the residents but are charging them arbitrary prices. Shiv Shakti Colony, Shaheed Bhagat Singh Colony and two other colonies are the worst affected. A resident said that normal life has been disrupted here for more than a week. He has appealed to the administration to provide them regular supply of clean drinking water as soon as possible.
