Mohali: Administration will plant more than 2 lakh saplings on non-forest land
Mohali: To increase greenery in the district, Additional Deputy Commissioner (G) Viraj S Tidke today planted a mango sapling on behalf of the District Red Cross Society at the District Administrative Complex, Mohali. The event marked the launch of tree plantation drive in the district, which aims to plant around 2.08 lakh trees on non-forest lands. Tidke stressed the importance of tree plantation in maintaining a healthy environment. “The administration is committed to increase greenery in Mohali and our target is to plant around 2.08 lakh trees in the coming days,” he said.
