Modi, Amit Shah are coming to Tamil Nadu, but funds are not coming: Udhayanidhi Stalin

Tamil Nadu: Tamil Nadu is receiving Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah in turn. But central funds aren’t the only thing coming, said Tamil Nadu Deputy Chief Minister and DMK Youth Secretary Udhayanidhi Stalin.

Speaking in Aroor on Tuesday in support of DMK candidate A. Shanmugam from the Aroor (Separate) Assembly constituency in Dharmapuri district, he said: The stipend scheme for women artists in Tamil Nadu has received significant attention. Approximately 100,000 women receive a monthly stipend in Dharmapuri district. If the DMK government is re-elected, this stipend will be increased to ₹2,000. The breakfast scheme in government schools will be extended to the 8th grade. Five million new jobs will be created in Tamil Nadu. The 113-km highway between Dharmapuri and Tiruvannamalai has been converted into a four-lane road at a cost of ₹410 crore. A cancer treatment unit has been established at the Dharmapuri Government Medical College Hospital, and additional buildings have been constructed at the Aroor Government Hospital. A tar road has been constructed from Vachathi to Kalasappady in Chitheri Panchayat for the benefit of hill tribe residents.

A new vocational training center has been built in Aroor. An overhead water tank with a capacity of 3.5 lakh liters will be constructed in Aroor Ambedkar Nagar. Steps will be taken to build a fire and rescue service station in Kambanallur. He said that the DMK and its alliance partners should work hard and ensure that A. Shanmugam, contesting from the Aroor constituency, wins by a large margin. Speaking in support of DMK candidate and former minister P. Palaniappan from Kadathur constituency in Pappireddipatti constituency, Udhayanidhi said:

The DMK will win this election and form the government again. If it forms the government, 10 lakh artists will be given dream homes. Laptops will be provided to 3.5 million college students to learn information technology. Housewives will be given coupons worth ₹8,000 to benefit from the purchase of household appliances. Road facilities will be provided in the Mitathinnahalli, Asthigiriyur, and Puthureddyur areas under the Pappireddyur constituency. All lakes and canals in the Pappireddyur constituency will be drained. Concrete roads will be built in all villages. He said that DMK candidate P. Palaniappan, contesting from the Pappireddyur constituency, should be ensured a landslide victory.

Tamil Nadu is not receiving funds.

While canvassing for votes in support of DMK candidate TNV S. Senthilkumar from the Palacode constituency in Dharmapuri district at the Palacode bus stand area on Tuesday, Udhayanidhi said:

Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah visit Tamil Nadu from time to time. But none of the funds, including education funds, are coming to Tamil Nadu. The Central Government is discriminating against Tamil Nadu in distributing funds.
