MMA Candidates to be Announced Soon: M.H. Jawahirullah

Tamil Nadu: DMK leader M.H. Jawahirullah stated that the names of candidates would be announced once the specific constituencies—where the ‘Humanity Peoples Party’ will contest under the DMK alliance—have been finalized.

Speaking to reporters while attending a special prayer meeting organized on Saturday by the Tamil Nadu Muslim Munnetra Kazhagam at the Don Bosco School grounds in Broadway, Chennai, M.H. Jawahirullah said: “The DMK’s good governance—which follows the path of ‘everything for everyone,’ social justice, and harmony—must continue in Tamil Nadu. In the upcoming assembly elections, the ‘Humanity Peoples Party’ has been allotted two seats under the DMK alliance. A request has been submitted to the DMK leadership to reallocate the Papanasam and Manapparai constituencies—seats that the party had won in the previous 2021 assembly elections—back to us.”

Furthermore, a list of preferred constituencies—including Trichy East, Ambur, Nagai, and Tiruvadanai—has also been submitted for consideration to contest the elections. The DMK leadership is expected to announce shortly which constituencies will be allotted. He added that the names of the candidates would be declared once the allocation of constituencies has been finalized.
