MLA Neelkanth Tekam announced financial help for the family of the deceased driver
Kanker. A vehicle in the convoy of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MLA Neelkanth Tekam from Keshkal assembly constituency of the district met with a horrific road accident on Monday. The driver died on the spot in this tragic accident. At the time of the accident, only the driver was present in the vehicle and he was going alone for some work. This incident has sent a wave of mourning in the area.
According to the information received, the accident happened when a vehicle in the convoy of MLA Neelkanth Tekam was going for a scheduled work. Only the driver was in the vehicle, and he was probably returning from some party program or administrative work. The vehicle was moving at a high speed and the driver lost balance at a turn on the road. Due to this, the vehicle collided with a roadside tree and got completely damaged. The accident was so terrible that the vehicle was shattered and the driver was badly trapped. The local people immediately informed the police and ambulance. Some people also tried to take out the injured driver, but by then he had stopped breathing. Later the ambulance arrived and the body was sent for post-mortem.
The deceased driver has been identified as a local resident, who was working with MLA Tekam for a long time. MLA Neelkanth Tekam was attending a party program when he was informed about the accident. Expressing deep grief, he said that the deceased was a part of his family and this loss is irreparable.
MLA Tekam expressed deep grief over the incident and said, “This is a personal loss for me. He was not only my driver but had become an integral part of my family. His service and loyalty will always be remembered.” He also said that every possible help will be given to the family of the deceased driver. Financial help can also be announced by the BJP. As soon as the information about the incident was received, the police reached the spot and inspected the accident site. In the initial investigation, overspeeding and losing control of the vehicle due to a turn on the road have been reported as the main reasons. The Superintendent of Police said that a detailed report will be prepared on the basis of the post-mortem report and investigation of the spot.
