Minor gangraped and murdered, villagers vandalised and set fire to police station

Kolkata: A case of gangrape and murder of a minor has come to light in Krupakhali area under Kultali police station in South 24 Parganas, West Bengal. In this case, the villagers vandalised and set fire to the police station, accusing the police of not registering the complaint.

According to the information, a minor girl studying in class four was kidnapped while returning from tuition, gangraped and then brutally murdered. Later, the villagers recovered the body of the girl from the river bank. After the complaint was not registered by the Kultali police station, the villagers became angry and vandalised and set fire to the police station.

BJP leader Dr. Sukanta Majumdar said that the horrific incident that happened with the innocent girl shows that Mamata Banerjee has no control over the administration. The administration has become completely political. Mamata Banerjee had said that do not file an FIR, first investigate and then file a report. This was said because rape and murder incidents are increasing in Bengal.

He said that despite the victim’s family and villagers’ request, the police did not register an FIR or make a missing diary. The rape that happened to this minor is extremely serious. This is a very dangerous situation, and if such incidents are happening again and again in Bengal, it proves that Mamata Banerjee has neither any legal basis nor any moral right to remain in her position.

Reacting to the incident, BJP IT cell chief Amit Malviya wrote on social media platform X, “In another shocking incident in West Bengal, an 11-year-old minor girl was abducted, brutally raped and murdered while returning from tuition in Krupakhali area under Kultali police station. Villagers found her body on the river bank.” He further wrote, “Angry villagers attacked the Kultali police station as they refused to lodge a complaint as the rapist is apparently a Muslim and the West Bengal police is reluctant to take action as it might anger Mamata Banerjee. During Durga Puja when West Bengal celebrates Goddess Shakti, women and girls are unsafe. Until the demonic forces that take over the affairs of the state are defeated, crimes against women will continue unabated. Mamata Banerjee must go for the safety of women in Bengal.”
