Minister Laxmi Rajwada paid tribute to the martyred soldiers in Bijapur

Raipur: Women and Child Development and Social Welfare Minister Laxmi Rajwada paid tribute to the martyred soldiers constable Satter Singh and Bharat Lal Sahu in the tragic Naxalite attack in Tarrem, Narayanpur Bijapur border area yesterday.

Minister Rajwada said that the sacrifice of the martyred soldiers will not go in vain. The continuous campaign to eliminate the Naxalites will continue. It is known that on receiving information about the presence of Maoists of Darbha Division, West Bastar Division and Military Company No. 02 in the border area between Bijapur, Dantewada and Sukma, on 16 July 2024, teams of STF, DRG, Cobra, CRPF from the said districts went on a special operation on a joint operation. During the operation, 02 STF jawans, constable Satter Singh resident of village Bamhni, Bakulwahi district Narayanpur and constable Bharat Lal Sahu, resident of Laxminagar Mowa district Raipur, were martyred in an IED explosion in the forests of Mandimarka in Thana Tarrem area at 10 pm on 17 July. Apart from this, 04 jawans Head Constable Purushottam Nag, Constable Sanjay Mandavi, Constable Komal Yadav, Constable Siyaram Shori have been injured. Treatment of the injured jawans is going on and the condition is normal.
