Mexico eases ban on chicken imports from Brazil

Business Business: Mexico has eased its ban on chicken imports from Brazil, Brazil’s agriculture ministry said. The ban will now apply only to chicken products from Brazil’s Rio Grande do Sul state.

Earlier, the ban was applicable to the whole of Brazil. The ban came after a case of bird flu was reported at a commercial farm in Rio Grande do Sul last month, prompting several countries to halt chicken imports from Brazil.
