Message of Plastic-Free Girodpuri Fair

Balodabazar. In the three-day Giraudpuri fair held from 22nd to 24th February 2026 at the birthplace and holy place of Baba Guru Ghasidas Ji, Giraudpuri, the administration took a positive initiative towards a clean environment by discouraging the use of plastic and distributed eco-friendly carry bags to the devotees. Along with this, emphasis was laid on serving food at the food distribution sites in plates and bowls made by the women of the group. This initiative gave the message of a plastic-free Giraudpuri.

During the three-day Giraudpuri fair, approximately 550 Swachhagrahis and sanitation workers were deployed to maintain cleanliness in the fair premises. The Swachhagrahis and sanitation workers took the responsibility of keeping the fair premises clean 24 hours a day.

Along with this, dustbins were also placed at various places in the entire fair premises so that the garbage does not get scattered here and there. Due to their dedication towards the work, the fair premises remained clean 24 hours a day. This year, the district administration had made significant improvements in the security and other arrangements and facilities in the fair, which provided a lot of convenience to the devotees and the devotees went back with a pleasant experience.
