Medical emergency training conducted in Cavelossim VP

Margao: Cavelossim Gram Panchayat in collaboration with GVK EMRI Services organized a First Responders Course at the Panchayat Hall on Sunday. “Many villagers participated in the day-long programme, where medical experts from GVK gave various talks to the participants on suffocation, cardiac arrest and other accidents,” said Dixon Vaz, sarpanch of Cavelossim. The participants were also shown demonstrations by medical experts on how to respond in any emergency. After the day long course, certificates were given to all the participants. “The program was very successful, with huge numbers of people signing up to save lives and it was extraordinary to see the level of engagement,” Vaz said. Earlier, Cavelossim Parish Priest Father Ubaldo Fernandes blessed the programme. Program coordinator Bosco Rodrigues said he was pleased to see the response of the youth. Judge Delfina Luis presented the vote of thanks.
