Mayor Ejaz Dhebar stopped the development of Raipur city : Meenal Chaubey
Raipur. Leader of Opposition in Raipur Municipal Corporation Meenal Chaubey made a big allegation on Mayor Ejaz Dhebar and said that he was the biggest hurdle in the development of Raipur. Along with this, he challenged the Congress to fight the next election of Raipur Municipal Corporation on the works of Ejaz Dhebar.
Municipal Corporation Leader of Opposition Meenal Chaubey, while addressing a press conference with BJP media co-incharge Dau Anurag Agarwal and councilor party spokesperson Mrityunjay Dubey, said that the basic function of the Municipal Corporation is to provide a systematic city, water, cleanliness and electricity to the public. Mayor Dhebar failed in all these areas. Neither development took place in the city nor the public could get basic facilities.
He said that from 2019-20 to 2023-24, the Municipal Corporation got Rs 1254 crore 36 lakh 44 thousand from the Central Government, in which Rs 74 crore 60 lakh was received for solid waste management and cleaning. The Mayor failed to manage the money properly. Crores of rupees were given for the drinking water scheme, but the public kept yearning for drinking water.
