Mastermind of UP police exam paper leak arrested
Lucknow: The Special Task Force (STF) of Uttar Pradesh Police has arrested the mastermind of the paper leak of UP Police Constable Recruitment Examination-2023. Accused Rajiv Nayan Mishra was arrested by Noida STF from Greater Noida on Wednesday. He has been involved in such cases earlier also. This year more than 48 lakh candidates appeared in the UP Police Recruitment Examination. Among them, there were about 16 lakh women candidates. The exam was conducted on February 17 and 18 at 2,385 centers in four shifts in all 75 districts of Uttar Pradesh. The Uttar Pradesh government had canceled the examination after reports of paper leak. Earlier on February 18, UP Police had arrested 244 people from across the state on charges of conspiring to adopt unfair practices in the examination. Later in March, the UP STF arrested seven more people from Meerut and Delhi in the case. According to officials, the accused were members of a gang involved in the question paper leak case. Deepak, Bittu, Praveen, Rohit, Naveen and Sahil, residents of Meerut, were arrested from a house under Kanker Kheda police station. Pramod Pathak, resident of Gautam Buddha Nagar, was also arrested.
