Massive fire breaks out in bus due to bike collision in Khandwa

Khandwa: A bus and a bike collided in a road accident late night in Khandwa district of Madhya Pradesh. The collision was so strong that the bus caught fire due to the bike coming under the bus. It was fortunate that the passengers sitting in the bus saved their lives by jumping down from the bus as soon as the fire broke out. Due to this a major accident was averted.
However, the youth riding the bike died on the spot. Another youth has been brought to the hospital in an injured condition by ambulance. The accident happened late night near Rajur village on Harsud Khandwa Road. The passenger bus was going from Indore to Roshni village. After the accident, the passengers who got down from the burning bus to save their lives immediately informed the police. Due to this, both traffic on the highway was stopped. However, some passers-by already made a video of the burning bus and made it viral. As soon as information about the incident was received, the fire brigade and police team reached the spot. The police control room had also alerted all the nearby police station in-charges.
Khandwa Additional SP Mahendra Tarnekar said that a motorcyclist was coming from Harsud towards Khandwa with a motorcycle. A bus was going from Khandwa towards Roshni. There was a clash between the two near Rajur. The motorcycle caught fire due to excess fuel in its tank. Due to this the bus also caught fire. One person has died on the spot. One person has been admitted for treatment in injured condition. All the passengers of the bus are safe.
