Mangaluru Christmas cheer gets off to a great start
Mangaluru: The International Airport (MIA) ushered in the festive spirit with a three-day festival that began at the airport on Saturday. Passengers traveling through the airport can enjoy sweet caricatures including ‘Jingle Bells, Jingle Bells’ performed by a group of talented artists. Papa Noel will also be on hand to delight passengers during the three days, according to an MIA statement on Sunday. This bag of ‘Papa Noel’ sweets along with a supply of red and white Christmas hats on Saturday brought smiles to the faces of passengers who were watching them excitedly as they traveled towards their respective destinations. The airport has installed a 360-degree photomaton on the first floor of the national security waiting area. According to the statement, this stand will allow passengers to capture rich memories of the ongoing festival. The festive celebration is part of the ongoing ‘One Nation Billion Celebration’ (ONBC) campaign which started with Dussehra at the airport and continues with Diwali. Thematic decorations that reflect the spirit of the respective festival have been the hallmark of this campaign of ONBC. According to the release, the contest, launched in conjunction with the campaign running over three months, gives travelers the opportunity to win an international vacation for a family of four to Paris as the grand prize.
