Man takes own life along with four minor sons on railway tracks in Faridabad

Faridabad: In a tragic incident that happened in Faridabad of Haryana, a 36-year-old man ended his life along with his four sons- aged between three and nine- by stepping in front of a moving train. According to the witnesses, the man held the children tightly as they pleaded to be let go moments before the Golden Temple express struck them around 1:10pm.
The deceased man, identified as Manoj reportedly left his home in Subash Colony around 12:15pm, telling his wife, identified as Priya, that he was taking the kids to a nearby park.
Instead, he took them to the railway tracks near the Elson Chowk flyover, where they waited for nearly an hour. During this time, he even bought chips and soft drinks for the kids.
The loco pilot immediately informed the authorities after the incident. Police identified Manoj using his Aadhar card and reportedly found a chit in his pocket with his wife’s phone number, suggesting the act was pre-planned.
According to the officials, the wife was called to the spot and she fainted upon seeing the bodies. The remains were further taken to Badshah Khan Civil Hospital for a post-mortem.
Police have started their investigation into the matter. However, no clear motive has been confirmed. Authorities assured that their priority now is to understand the circumstances and provide support to the grieving family.
