Man stabs wife after family dispute, woman admitted to hospital

Rayagada: In a shocking incident, a man stabbed his wife, seriously injuring her, at Nadikhanda Sahi in Rayagada district. The injured wife has been identified as Basanti Behera and has been admitted to Rayagada District Headquarters Hospital (DHH) for medical aid.

According to the complaint, there was some dispute between husband Pradeep and Basanti which led to an argument and in a fit of anger he lost his mental balance and attacked his wife with a knife on her stomach and chest and fled from the spot.

Hearing the sound, neighbors immediately arrived and rescued Basanti and took her to the hospital. On receiving information about the incident, the police reached the hospital and started investigating the matter.
