Man Fails Upsc 4 Times Poses As Top Civil Servant For 7 Years In Jharkhand

Ranchi: A man has failed the UPSC exam four times. But he has been circulating as a top IAS officer for the last seven years. (Man Poses As Top Civil Servant) He met a police officer over a land dispute. This led to the man being arrested. The incident took place in Ranchi district, the capital of Jharkhand. 35-year-old Rajesh Kumar, a resident of Kukhi area, went to Hussainabad police station on January 2 regarding a land dispute. He met the station house officer. He introduced himself as a 2014 batch Odisha cadre IAS officer. He said that he is currently the Chief Accounts Officer (CAO) in Bhubaneswar.
Meanwhile, Rajesh Kumar said that he had previously worked in various capacities in various states including Dehradun, Hyderabad and Bhubaneswar. He convinced the police officer that he was an officer of the Indian Post and Telecommunications Accounts and Finance Service (IPTAS). He was using a vehicle with the nameplate ‘Government of India’.
On the other hand, the police officer became suspicious of Rajesh Kumar. An investigation was conducted. The police found out that he was not an IAS officer and did not work in any government sector organization. The man was detained and questioned.
However, Rajesh Kumar said that he had appeared for the UPSC exam four times and failed. He said that he had been pretending to be a top IAS officer for the last seven years to fulfill his father’s wish. In this context, the police have arrested him. A case has been registered under various sections and investigation is underway.
