Man-eating bear caught by forest department

In the video that surfaced from the spot, marks of serious injury on the bear’s head can also be seen. For the last few days, this male bear was continuously attacking the children and elderly of the village, due to which there was an atmosphere of fear and panic in the entire area. The forest department was constantly warning the villagers to stay away from the bear by making announcements. At the same time, the police administration had also made security arrangements in collaboration with the forest department team so that the villagers could be saved from bear attacks. After the bear was caught, the people of the area have now breathed a sigh of relief.

In various villages of Marwahi, two people lost their lives and five people were seriously injured in bear attacks in the past. There was an atmosphere of fear among the villagers after this incident. In view of the situation, the police and the forest department jointly started patrolling and making announcements in the villages so that the villagers do not go towards the forest. On the instructions of Superintendent of Police Bhavna Gupta, policemen of Marwahi police station and forest department employees were guarding the area round the clock.

In these incidents, a young woman named Vidya Kewat was attacked by a bear and was seriously injured, while in another incident a villager named Sukkul Prasad died and two others were injured. After this, two more villagers were injured in bear attacks in Kargikala. These attacks had spread panic in the entire area.
