Man arrested for stealing Activa from complex parking
Raipur. The person who stole an Activa from the complex’s parking lot has been arrested. Applicant Ajay Kumar Sahu, resident of Sahupara Fafadeep Ganj, filed a report at Ganj Police Station stating that on January 16, 2020, he had parked his Honda Activa (numbered CG 04 LM 6817) in the parking lot of Arihant Complex in the Ganj area and gone to a shop. Upon returning, he found his Activa missing from the parked spot. Based on the applicant’s report, a case number 47/26, under Section 303(2) of the Criminal Procedure Code (Crime and Crime Code), was registered against the unknown accused at Ganj Police Station.
Under the direction of senior officers, a joint team of the Anti-Crime and Cyber ​​Unit and Ganj Police Station began investigating the unknown accused by questioning the applicant in detail regarding the incident. The team members, after reviewing the footage of CCTV cameras installed at the incident site and its surroundings, and using informants to identify the unknown accused, apprehended and interrogated the accused Devendra Nagesh alias Rahul, who confessed to committing the vehicle theft. The accused Devendra Nagesh alias Rahul was arrested and a stolen Honda Activa bearing registration number CG 04 LM 6817 worth approximately Rs 40,000 was seized from his possession and action was taken against him.
