Man arrested for cheating Congress leader, had taken Rs 20 lakh from him to get MLA ticket

. A case of fraud of Rs 20 lakh in the name of getting a ticket from Congress in the assembly elections has come to light. On the complaint of the victim, the police have registered a case under section 420 and sent the accused on remand. The accused Virat Ramkar (35) son of Harilal Ramkar is a resident of Parsaguda police station Bhanpuri district Bastar.

The complainant Dolchand Patel, son of Sitaram Patel, resident of village Kanwarpali police station Singhoda, had complained about the matter to the police station. He told, the whole story was created in Hotel Udcastle. In the name of getting a Congress MLA ticket from Saraipali assembly, the accused has cheated Rs 20 lakh in two installments.

In the name of getting a ticket in the assembly, Rs 5 lakh was taken for the first time at Gathi Dhaba in Pithora and for the second time Rs 15 lakh was taken at Hotel Udcastle Raipur. Dolchand gave the money to Virat Ramkar after coming in contact with Yash Dewangan. Pithora police has registered a case against Virat under section 420 and sent him to jail on remand.
