Malayalam actor Nirmal Benny died of a heart attack on Friday
Mumbai: Malayalam actor Nirmal Benny died of a heart attack on Friday. He was 37 years old. The news of his demise was given by his close friend and producer Sanjay Padhiyur. Posting on social media, he wrote, “Goodbye to my dear friend… The role of Kochchan in ‘Amen’ and the lead character he played in ‘Dooram’. He passed away due to a heart attack this morning. Praying to God that my dear friend’s soul rest in peace.” Nirmal Benny was widely recognised for his unforgettable role as Kochchan (junior priest) in Lijo Jose Pelissery’s critically acclaimed film ‘Amen’. His career began with the film ‘Navagatharku Swagatham’ and he went on to appear in five films including ‘Amen’ and ‘Dooram’. Nirmal also made a significant impact in the digital space with his appearance in popular YouTube videos. His untimely demise has left a deep void in the industry and among his fans.
