Make crispy semolina fritters for breakfast, recipe

In the beginning of monsoon, everyone eats gram flour pakoras with great enthusiasm, but have you ever tried semolina pakoras. Like gram flour, the taste of pakoras made of semolina is also wonderful. It can be made for breakfast or as a snack during the day. The specialty of semolina pakoras is that it does not take much time to prepare them, in this case it is a perfect recipe for breakfast as well. Semolina fritters can also be kept in children’s lunch boxes. Semolina Pakodas can be prepared very easily even in the middle of the morning rush.

Ingredients for making semolina fritters
Semolina – 1 cup
Curd – 1/4 cup
Onion finely chopped – 2 tbsp
Ginger paste – 1/2 tsp
Green chili chopped – 1 tsp
Green coriander chopped – 2 tbsp
Curry leaves chopped – 8-10
Asafoetida – 1 pinch
Baking soda – 1/4 tsp
Oil – for frying
salt – as per taste
How to make semolina fritters
To make semolina pakodas full of taste, first of all put semolina (rava) in a utensil and add curd to it and mix it well. After this add ginger paste, chopped green chillies, green coriander and curry leaves and mix everything with the mixture. Now add finely chopped onion, cumin, a pinch of asafoetida and salt as per taste and mix it well. Then prepare the batter adding water little by little.
Keep the prepared batter aside for 10 minutes, so that the batter becomes slightly thick. After this add baking soda to the batter and mix slowly. Now put oil in a pan and heat it on medium flame. When the oil becomes hot, take the prepared batter of semolina and make pakoras by taking a little batter in the hand and putting it in the pan. Fry them while turning them till the pakoras turn golden and crisp. After this, take out the prepared pakoras in a plate. Similarly prepare semolina fritters from all the batter. Serve hot semolina pakodas with tomato sauce or green chutney.
