Major operation in Bijapur, Chhattisgarh; large quantity of weapons recovered.

Bijapur: Security forces in Bijapur, Chhattisgarh, have achieved a major success against Maoists. During an intensive search operation, security forces uncovered a large cache of illegal weapons and explosives hidden underground by Maoists.
According to reports, a joint team of Cobra 204 and CRPF 196 was conducting an intensive search operation in the dense forests of the Tadpala Valley area near the FOB (Forward Operating Base) in the Doligutta peak area of Karregutta Hills, under the Usur police station. During the search, digging in suspicious locations in the Doligutta peak area led to the recovery of weapon repair materials, materials related to BGL (Bomb Grenade Launcher) cell manufacturing, and explosive devices hidden by the Maoists.
Two pressure IEDs (Improvised Explosive Devices) planted by the Maoists, intended to harm the security forces, were also recovered during the operation. The bomb disposal squad of Cobra 204, present at the scene, cautiously and safely destroyed both pressure IEDs on the spot, averting a major tragedy.
The recovered materials include a hand fly press, a large quantity of BGL cells (large, medium, and small sizes), BGL tails, steel plates, screwdrivers, hacksaw blades, pliers, and many other heavy tools used for weapon repair. This clearly indicates that the Maoists were preparing to conduct operations in this area for a long period.
Security officials say that the vigilance, coordination, and swift action of the security forces have foiled a major Maoist conspiracy. This recovery is not only a major blow to the Maoists but also a significant step towards restoring peace and security in the region.
The search operation by security forces in the area is continuing, and more teams of security forces are being called in. Officials have urged the public to provide any information they may have about the Maoists as soon as possible.
