Major accident on Katghora-Bilaspur highway, one dead, 2 injured

Korba. A man died and his wife and minor daughter were injured in a road accident on the Katghora-Bilaspur Highway. The incident occurred near the Sundara Nala in the Chaitma outpost area around 4 p.m. on October 13th. According to Chaitma outpost in-charge Afsar Khan, the deceased has been identified as Suman Sai Agariya (45), a resident of the Umdeva outpost area under the Ketma police station in Udaipur district.

He was returning to Udaipur on his bike (CG-15-BW-5988) with his wife, Sangeeta Agariya (42), and 15-year-old daughter, Krishna, from a relative’s house in Nonbirra village, Pali. While crossing the Sundara Nala, a speeding vehicle struck their bike from behind. The impact was so severe that all three riders fell to the road.

Despite wearing a helmet, Suman Sai suffered severe head injuries, resulting in his death on the spot. His wife and daughter were also injured. Police arrived at the scene upon receiving information about the incident. The injured mother and daughter were immediately rushed to Pali Hospital, while the body of the deceased was sent to the mortuary for a postmortem. The driver of the vehicle that struck them fled the scene after the accident. Police are searching for the vehicle and the accused driver.
