Major accident in coal mine, 7 dead

Taiyuan: Seven miners have died in an accident at a coal mine in Shanxi province of northern China. Local officials gave this information on Friday. The last body was taken out of the mine at 6:23 am on Friday, Xinhua news agency quoted the county government as saying. The accident occurred at the mine of Taoyuan Xinlong Coal Industrial Corporation in Zhongyang County. At 10:45 pm, a pile of coal collapsed in the mine’s warehouse. Mine chief Gao Naichun said seven miners were buried under a pile of coal on Monday while they were repairing a broken coal feeder. He said that the matter is being investigated.
