Maharashtra CM Shinde: PM Modi to inaugurate Mumbai Trans Harbor Link on January 12

Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde on Sunday said Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate the country’s longest sea bridge Mumbai Trans Harbor Link (MTHL) on January 12.

The CM said the 21.8 km long bridge between Sewri in Mumbai and Nhava Sheva area of Raigarh district will reduce the journey from the current two hours to about 15-20 minutes.

“Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate MTHL on January 12,” Shinde told reporters. “This bridge will bring economic growth and development to the areas connected to it.”

According to officials, MTHL will connect to the main Mumbai Pune Expressway, which connects the two largest cities of the state.

MTHL is a 6-lane sea link, extending 16.50 kilometers on sea and 5.50 kilometers on land.
