Maharashtra: A week-long literary festival at BK Birla College and Central Hindi Institute

Maharashtra: B.K. Birla College and the Central Hindi Directorate jointly organized a six-day Hindi Creative Writing Camp. The camp concluded on a grand note with 70 emerging writers from nine states, including Maharashtra, participating.
Highlights from the Valedictory Session
Prof. Awadhesh Shukla, Dean of Mahatma Gandhi International Hindi University, attended the valedictory session as the chief guest. In his speech, Prof. Shukla elaborated on the creative process of ancient poets and encouraged young writers to learn from classical literary traditions for healthy and meaningful writing. Dr. Baliram Gaikwad, Director of the University of Mumbai, attended as a special guest. He highlighted the changing aspects of modern-day writing and praised the college management for organizing national-level events that promote literary unity and intellectual exchange.
Education Director Dr. Naresh Chandra described literature as a guiding force for society and advised new writers to write with awareness and responsibility. Thank you to the organizers.
Principal Dr. Avinash Patil thanked the Central Hindi Directorate for its support and said that the college management is committed to facilitating the academic and literary endeavors of the college.
Promoting Critical Reading
Assistant Director of the Central Hindi Directorate, Ratnesh Kumar Mishra, explained the organization’s activities and encouraged participants to cultivate the habit of being discerning readers to strengthen their writing skills.
Workshops and Lectures
Dr. Satish Pandey, editor of Samichin, gave a detailed lecture on the creative process involved in the non-fiction prose genre. Prof. Rajendra Gautam of Delhi University introduced participants to the nuances of poetic craft.
