Madhya Pradesh: Truck hits bike in Gwalior, three killed

Gwalior Gwalior: In another incident of negligent driving, three people, including a woman and a child, died when a speeding truck hit a bike in Gwalior district of Madhya Pradesh on Friday. The accident took place in Billua police station area on Gwalior-Jhansi National Highway 44. A three-year-old girl has also been injured in the incident. The deceased have been identified as Karan Kushwah (22), Malti Kushwah (28) and her one-year-old son. After this horrific accident, the victim’s family members reached the spot and blocked the highway. However, the police assured them of concrete action and the highway was cleared. The family members also demanded that traffic police should be deployed on this route and speed breakers should be installed to curb negligent driving. An official said that all the demands have been accepted and action will be initiated after talking to high-level officials. Police said that after hitting the bike, the truck driver fled from the spot. City Superintendent of Police (CSP) Hina Khan said, “We have also sent a team to search for him and he will be arrested soon.” The incident comes just after four members of a family were killed and a man injured after a speeding truck hit an autorickshaw in Madhya Pradesh’s Gwalior on Thursday. According to police, the incident took place at 2 am on the Morena Highway in the Purani Cantonment area of ​​the city. Dharmendra Chauhan, posted as Assistant Sub Inspector at Purani Cantonment police station, said the deceased were residents of Banmore in Morena and were returning from a wedding function in Bhind district. According to the officer, the truck driver fled from the spot and a case of negligent driving has been registered against him. He said efforts are on to nab the driver.
