Mad dog bites 17 people in Baramulla, Jammu and Kashmir

Srinagar: A mad dog bit 17 people, including three women and two children, in Jammu and Kashmir’s Baramulla district on Thursday. Not only this, the mad dog also targeted some animals and stray dogs.

A mad dog allegedly started biting people in Fatehgarh, Sheeri and Hiwan villages of Baramulla district. Whoever came in front of him was bitten by the mad dog. The injured were treated at the primary health center of Sheeri village. Doctors said that the injured have been given anti-rabies shots. Those seriously injured due to bites were referred to the Government Medical College, Baramulla.

Local people informed the police about the mad dog in the area. However, it is not yet clear whether the mad dog was caught or shot. There is panic in the area due to the terror of this dog. People have stopped their children from leaving their homes for their own safety.
