Tamil Nadu Tamil Nadu: DMK chief and former Chief Minister M.K. Stalin has directed party officials to submit the field survey report related to the assembly elections by 10th. This report is being prepared to assess the reasons for the delay in elections and the situation at the ground level.
On Thursday (June 4) at Anna Arivalayam in Chennai, M.K. An important consultation meeting was held under the chairmanship of Stalin. Senior leaders and top officials of DMK attended this meeting. Among them, Treasurer T.R. Many prominent leaders including Baalu, Deputy General Secretary Kanimozhi and Trichy Siva were present. The election performance and district wise situation was discussed in detail in the meeting.
According to sources, district wise analysis was done in the meeting regarding the defeat and performance. The party leadership tried to understand in which areas the expected results could not be achieved and what were the reasons behind it. Along with this, weaknesses and areas requiring improvement at the organizational level were also discussed.
Earlier M.K. Stalin had constituted a special committee to assess the election activities and field level situation in the state. This committee was given the responsibility of collecting feedback from DMK workers and officials across the state. The committee has prepared a preliminary report based on inputs received from various districts.
Now the party leadership has directed to submit the final field survey report by 10th to give a more detailed form to this report. It is believed that on the basis of this report, the party will take steps towards further strengthening the upcoming election strategy.
The DMK had won 73 seats in the recently held assembly elections with its alliance, while the DMK alone had won 59 seats. The party leadership is considering it a strong performance, but a review is being done due to not getting the expected results in some areas.
Political experts say that M.K. Such a detailed review by Stalin is part of the party’s organizational strengthening and preparation for the upcoming elections. The party can make changes in its strategy based on feedback and survey reports at the ground level.
Senior leaders attending the meeting also presented reports and suggestions related to their respective areas before the party leadership. During the discussion, emphasis was laid on strengthening the organizational structure, increasing activism at the booth level and establishing better coordination among the workers.
According to party sources, some important changes can also be made in the DMK organization on the basis of this report in the coming days. Along with this, new strategies will be worked on to improve the performance at the district level.
