Luxury car stolen from VIP road, 2 youths from Tikrapara arrested
Raipur. 2 accused of stealing expensive luxury cars have been arrested. Ashish Jain lodged a report in Telibandha police station that he lives in Romasque Villa Labhandi and the applicant’s company is in Magneto Mall. The applicant had purchased a black Toyota Camry car number CG/04/MM/6000 on 29.11.2024 in the name of his company. On 30.11.2024 at 10.40 pm, the applicant took the said car from his house to Shagun Farm Birthday Party on VIP Road and gave the keys of his car to valet parking Sanjay Jha to park the car in the valet parking, who gave him the car parking slip. The applicant went to attend the program and valet parking driver Mannu Deep took the car to the parking. The applicant came out of the birthday party at around 02.30 in the night and asked to bring his car by returning the slip given to the valet parking. The driver of the valet parking told him that his car was not in the parking lot. The applicant and the drivers of the valet parking searched for the car but could not find it. Some unknown thief stole the said car of the applicant. On the report of the applicant, a crime number 778/24 under section 303 (2) BNS was registered against the unknown accused in Telibandha police station.
Under the direction of senior officers, a joint team of Anti Crime and Cyber Unit and Telibandha police station conducted detailed interrogation of the applicant and the employees working in the vehicle parking of Shugan Farm in relation to the incident. The team members observed the footage of CCTV cameras installed at the incident site and around it and also tried to trace and identify the unknown accused by using informers. During this time, the team members, while scanning the CCTV footage, got important information about the stolen vehicle and the unknown accused, on which the team members caught Abdul Shahbaz and Akash Kumar Gupta, residents of Tikrapara Raipur, and on strict interrogation in connection with the case, the accused told that they had committed the above incident of vehicle theft along with their partner.
On which both the accused were arrested and stolen Toyota Camry car number CG/04/MM/6000 worth about Rs 54 lakh was seized from their possession and action was taken against the accused. Accused Abdul Shahbaz has previously been imprisoned in the case of Narcotics Act and assault from Tikrapara police station. Other accused involved in the case are absconding, every possible effort is being made to trace and arrest them.
