Ludhiana: The Veterinary College won the overall trophy at the Youth Fest.
Ludhiana: The College of Veterinary Science, Ludhiana, won the overall championship trophy at ‘Yuvtarang’, the youth festival organized by Guru Angad Dev Veterinary and Animal Sciences University (GADVASU), Ludhiana. The event was graced by the presence of State Information Commissioner Harpreet Singh Sandhu; Dr. Satbir Singh Gosal, Vice-Chancellor, PAU; Dr. Nirmal Jaura, DSW, PAU; and Dr. Kiran Bains, Dean, College of Community Science, PAU. Renowned Punjabi singer Pammi Bai also attended the ceremony. All the dignitaries were felicitated during the event. Vice-Chancellor Dr. Jatinder Pal Singh Gill presided over the function, emphasizing the importance of the festival in nurturing the all-round personality of the students and congratulating the university teams for organizing the event smoothly and successfully.
A tribute was also paid to veteran Bollywood actor Dharmendra. Organizing Secretary Dr. SPS Ghuman informed that competitions were held in various categories including fine arts, theatre, music, dance, and literary events. Renowned Punjabi singer and actor Hardeep Grewal enthralled the audience with his captivating performance. At the prize distribution ceremony, the winners were honored by the dignitaries. Gold medals and cash prizes were awarded to the best male and female actors in memory of renowned Punjabi actor and कबड्डी commentator Dr. Darshan Bari.
