Ludhiana: Officials said that AYKAI Hospital launched the Versius Robotic Surgical System on Sunday, which is one of the most advanced pieces of equipment approved by the US Food and Drug Administration. They added that the equipment has been imported from the UK. This platform is known for its compact, modular, and portable design and is widely used in urology, kidney transplantation, kidney and prostate cancer surgery, general surgery (gallbladder and hernia), gynecology, oncology, and pediatric surgery.
