Ludhiana: Husband kidnaps divorced wife and her sister

Ludhiana: A man kidnapped his divorced wife and her sister near village Malakpur. Both of them were kidnapped in a car and left on the road after beating and threatening them. The woman complained to the police in this regard, after which the police of PAU police station have registered a case against the accused Gurpreet Singh and his accomplices Jaspreet Singh, Sukhjinder Singh, Vikramjit Singh and Kamal under different sections on the complaint of Kulwinder Kaur.

Kulwinder Kaur, a resident of village Nurpur Bet, told that she was married to Gurpreet Singh in 2017. After marriage, her in-laws started harassing her for dowry and used to beat her. After this, she also complained to the police. Their panchayati reconciliation was also done in the police station women cell, but still her husband had a grudge against her. A few days ago, she was going to the village with her sister. When she got down at the bus stand Malakpur, her husband came along with the other accused and forcibly put her and her sister in the car and kidnapped them and took them away with them, after which the accused thrashed them and threatened them and then left them.
