Ludhiana: Family vandalises hospital after 6-month-old child dies during treatment
Ludhiana: Police have launched an investigation into an incident in which a family vandalized a private hospital near Shingar Cinema on Wednesday following the mysterious death of their six-month-old daughter, Naira. An unidentified hospital employee is accused of administering a medication to the child on Tuesday night under the guise of anesthesia, leading to her death that morning. Naira was admitted to the hospital two days ago for treatment of a chest ailment. Her mother, Sonia, stated that when the child’s condition was improving, a hospital employee administered a medication to put her to sleep. The child was found dead in the morning, prompting the family to express grief and allege that a hospital employee allegedly killed her. The child’s grieving family later vandalized the hospital and demanded an FIR be filed against the hospital owner and staff. Investigating officer Jagdeep Singh said that the police have launched an investigation into the child’s death and the subsequent vandalism.
