Ludhiana: Case registered against a person for committing unnatural sex with a boy

Ludhiana: Police station division 6 yesterday registered a case against a man who allegedly raped a 14-year-old boy at Pratap Chowk here. The case was registered on the complaint of the victim’s mother. The suspect has been identified as Manoj Kumar alias Manjeet Singh, a resident of Pratap Nagar. The complainant told the police that Manoj, a roadside hawker, had taken her son with him on September 26 to get him a job.

Instead of getting him any work, the suspect took him to a secluded place near the hawker and raped him. After committing the crime, the man told the victim not to tell anyone about it or else she would have to face serious consequences. The woman said that after the incident, her son told her about the sexual abuse and a complaint was lodged in this regard. After several days of investigation, the police registered a case against the man on Monday. Investigating officer ASI Joginder Singh said that further investigation has been started in the case and the suspect will be arrested soon.
